Abstract (EN)

Water, which is the most important natural resource, constitutes the main element of life. In this respect, the issue of efficient use of water resources has become the subject of not only engineering disciplines but also economics, ecology and all social sciences. The main priority in the administrations supplying the water has been adopted as ensuring that the water is clean and of high quality in the process from its source to the consumer. It includes applications such as intelligent management of water, water distribution and network management based on geographic information systems, detection of losses and leakages, waste water management, management of subscriber accrual and collection transactions. The aim of this study is; drinking water management in local governments will try to be described. In this direction, it is aimed to create an automation system for the use of underground drinking water wells belonging to Tekirdağ Province, Çerkezköy District, İstasyon District, which are selected as the pilot region. Geology, plan, current, infrastructure and population information of the study area were used. Attribute data of 22 drinking water wells of the region were determined and the attribute information was filled in with the help of Netcad web and Netcad 7.6 desktop software. The future projection of the population and water consumption until 2050 has been made with the trend analysis method and this data has been used to determine new well locations. Using the attributes of the wells, the buffer zone analysis was made and three new well locations were determined. With this study, while ensuring optimum use of available resources, future projections were defined and the continuity of the enterprise was tried to be secured.
