Abstract (EN)

Illegal settlements (slum settlements) have been an ongoing problem in most developing countries and even in some developed countries. This has resulted in a huge loss of money, resources, time and energy. In densely urbanized areas, it is very costly to monitor land operations with accurate geographic mapping and monitoring. It takes more time and effort. Auditing cannot be done regularly. Sometimes it is impossible to complete a task in six months or a year. Therefore, it is more practical to automate these processes in real time from an aerial perspective. The developments in remote sensing and UAV technologies have also shown themselves in the cartography sector in parallel with all the fields where these technologies are used. Illegal structures are the biggest problem for cities that are designed or need to be designed with zoning plans. While detecting illegal structures that threaten the existence of cities used to require a large number of personnel and time, it can now be done more easily and quickly thanks to the developing UAV technologies. In this way, unplanned urbanization and socio-economic problems caused by illegal construction are prevented. In this study, Sense FLY eBee Plus device was used and illegal structures were detected in the study area.
