Abstract (EN)

Management and organization literature, which continues its scientific studies under business discipline, consists of positivist and anti-positivist paradigms parallel to the epistemological discussions in philosophy of science. This study aims to make ontological analysis of both the concepts of management and epistemologically differentiated paradigms questioning the basis of management. What we called "management", which can be assumed as the concept, relation or construct, has been analyzed within the scope of Nicolai Hartmann's new ontology and the evolution of material world and humanity; and crucial implications have been flourished addressing to theory of management and organization. In this context, we can say ontologically, mainstream theories put the analysis level one step lower when we thing about management and human beings, that means analyze humanity the same level with animals; and it contain governor-governed distinction in itself immanently. Another finding resulted from this study is how narrow dominant theories see the scope of management and organization scientific field. The field should be widen including all the concepts, such as language, values, narratives, mythos, believes, religions, ideologies and discourses, within ideal/immaterial realm, which we assume human beings belong. This ontological analysis aims to be the philosophical and scientifically backgrounds how management literatures will evolve in the future.
