Engineering geology properties of new settlement areas between Yumurtalik - Karataş (Adana)

This research has been assessed as a result of the area between Yumurtalık and Karataş (Adana) and its vicinity?s coming to fore from the point of industrial and tourism investments which will be made in coming years and structuring. The existing lithologic units in the mentioned area has been examined from the point of structuring within the scope of engineering geology ,and the existence of active faults has increased the importance of applications which will be made oriented to settlement.Owing to its being in the first-degree seismic zone and Mediterranean coastline ,Yumurtalık is one of the significant areas. Since the town Yumurtalık currently has a free zone and its being considered as an investment area at the same time,this area has been deemed suitable and examined in terms of engineering geology.
