Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted on the inhabitants of Tikrit town of Saladin Governorate. A total of 250 samples were collected from 05/03/2021 to 17/06/2021. These bacteria were isolated from the respiratory system (nostrils) as well as from the urinary system (urine). At the same time, since they are gram positive, they were stained with gram staining, examined microscopically under a light microscope, and diagnosed with biochemical tests. The aim of this study on the inhabitants of Tikrit in Salahuddin Province was to examine the spreading rates of S. aureus in this city and also to determine the water and alcohol extracts of lemon and ginger plants at concentrations of 25% mg/mL, 50% mg/mL and 100% mg/mL to investigate the effect. The laboratory results showed that the 100 mg/mL concentration has a 25% and 50% stronger inhibitory ability than the other concentrations, and the aqueous extracts are more efficient than the alcoholic extracts of the studied lemon and ginger plants. The higher the concentration of juicy lemon and ginger extract, the more successful it was in inhibiting S. aureus bacterial isolates, the greater the ability to inhibit S. aureus bacteria. Before using the plant extracts on S. aureus bacterial isolates, 5 antibiotics were used as control and the antibiotics showed different inhibition diameters
