Abstract (EN)
This study, the question of whether exposure to bullying is related to social media addiction was investigated using a victimization scale developed by Hall (2016) and adapted to Turkish. The study has been conducted by applying the Bullying, Harassment, and Aggression Receipt Measure to 461 secondary school students in Gaziantep Province and the Bullying, Harassment, and Aggression Receipt Measure and Social Media Addiction Scale for Adolescents to 965 secondary school students. While studying the relationship between victimization and social media addiction at the second step, their relationships with various demographic variables have also been handled. According to the findings of the study, the victimization measure was adapted to Turkish and validity and reliability levels were found to be high. It was also found that types of victimization affected the social media addiction. There is a positive and significant relationship between the scales used. The findings were discussed based on the data present in the literature.
