This thesis aimed to study the topic of the family in the interpretation of Abu Al-Saud Al-Amadi (d. 982 AH / 1574 AD); One of the interpreters of the Qur'an in the tenth century AH, He called his book: "Irshad Al-Akl Al-Salim Ila Mazaya Al-Kitab Al-Karim", This study gains its importance from the fact that it belongs to the field of objective studies in the Holy Qur'an, and from the sensitivity of the subject of the family and its problems today, especially with the change of societies due to modernity, The need to follow the Quranic educational and legal theory of the family emerged. The importance of the study also comes from the fact that it deals with the interpretation of Abu Saud, which is considered an essential reference for students of knowledge specializing in interpretation and Qur'anic sciences. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive-historical approach was followed, when researching the biography of Imam Abu Saud Al-Emadi, and the features of the era in which he lived, and the descriptive-inductive-analytical approach, when extrapolating the rulings on the family and its etiquette in his book. In order to derive his understanding of the Qur'anic text stipulating the educational theory of the family, The study concluded with results, the most important of which are: The great scientific value of Abu Al-Saud's interpretation, despite the difficulty of his style and expressions, as well as the solid scientific upbringing that he enjoyed, which influenced the refinement of his independent intellectual personality. His care precisely in defining Qur'anic terms and mentioning everything related to them, and his care in relying on authentic sources in interpretation, even though he was not satisfied with them, but rather added to them from the outcome of his abundant knowledge and extensive culture, This contributed to clarifying his thought regarding family rulings. He paid attention to the Qur'anic context in interpreting the meanings of family rulings, such as maintenance, breastfeeding, and etiquette. He explained the importance of the family in Islam, and the Qur'an's attention to the relationships between its members. According to Al-Emadi, the Muslim family also has multiple functions, including: the social and educational function, the moral function, and the reproductive function. He emphasized the family ties between parents and children by recommending mercy towards them, in the context of Qur'anic stories as mentioned in the story of Abraham with his father and his son, or the story of Jacob with his son Joseph, peace be upon them all. Al-Emadi believes that problems between spouses begin when each of them fails to know the other's rights over him, and what God has imposed on them in terms of maintenance or obedience. One of the greatest matters that God has imposed on us regarding reproduction is the responsibility of education and care to achieve succession in this world and eternal bliss in the afterlife.
