Abstract (EN)

Toprak, Tekin. Investigation Of The Effects Of 12-Week Basic Badminton Instruction Trainings On 10-14 Age Group Children's Sport-Motor Properties, Uviversity Of Van Yüzüncü Yıl, Institute Of Health Science, Faculty Of Veterinary Medicine, Department Of Anatomy, Master Thesis, Van, 2019.The main aim of our study is to measure the effects of 12-week badminton basic training exercises ın children's sport-motoric characteristics ın children aged 10-14 who have just started badminton.Sixty students who don't do sport regularly selected randomly from Adıyaman Çelikhan Barbaros Secondary School ( 10-14 aged 12.03±1.29, height 149.1±10.805 cm, body weight 40.55±10.065 kg) were included in the study. The group of 60 students were randomly divided into two mixed groups of 30 people; 15 girls and 15 boys. While the 1st mixed group forming the control group ( CG ), the 2nd mixed group form-ing the Badminton basic instruction training group (BG). While badminton basic instruction exercise program was applied to the badminton group for 12 weeks, no systematic and regular exercises were done to the control group within 12 weeks. At the beginning and at the end of 12 weeks sport-motor characteristics of both groups : Horizontal Bounce, 5-18 Running Test, Capture The Ball Coming From Wall Test, Hand Grip Power, Sit-Lie down Reach Test's measurement datas were recorded. The statistical analysis of the difference between the groups (In the SPSS 13.0 package program) taken in the measurements was performed using Independent Sample t-test, statistical analysis of in-group difference was performed by using Paired-Sample t-test. Descriptive information is given according to groups and it was examined as pre and post test distributions of the variables according to the groups. Firstly, normality test was applied for the data analysis. However, Wilcoxon test was used in groups not showing normal distribution. In all applied tests, significance level was accepted as p <005 and the reliability interval was 95% (a: 0,05). According to the test measurement results that were done between CG and BG, it was seen that there was a statiscally significant difference in favor of BG. In the measuring averages of Horizontal Bounce, 5-18 Running Test, Capture The Ball Coming From Wall Test, Hand Grip Power, Sit-Lie down Reach Test, it was seen that there was a statiscally significant difference between the BG's pre and post test averages. At first, In anthropometric measurements (Age, height and body weight ) between BG and CG, there is no statiscally significant difference between the BG and CG. However, at the measurements that were done at the end of 12 weeks, there was a significant difference between the pre- and post-test averages of BG. There were no statistically significant differences between CG's pre- and post-test mean scores. However; it can be said that basic badminton exercises have a enhancing effect on children's sport-motor functions. Key words: Badminton, Sport, Sport-Motoric Features, Training.
