According to XII numbered judicial register of Antalya between the years 1862-1864 the administrative and social-economic situation of the city of Antalya

viABSTRACTCourt records, which contains important documents related to administrative, socio-economic, judicial, sociological and ethnographic sturucture, have significant place inenlightenment of urban history and bringing up regional pecularities.In this thesis, under the light of XII Numbered Antalya Sharia Sijills, which wasbelonged to 1279-1280/1862-1864, Antalya?s administrative, judicial, socio-economicstructure were examined. In the period between 1862-1864, Antalya was a sanjak that wasrelated to province of Konya and especially renovations which was carried out at time ofMahmut the second and during the Tanzimat period and applied in the areas of administration,judiciary and economy to Ottoman empire are totally reflected to Antalya as well. In additionto this in this period, the kaimakams were at the top of the administrative structure, the naibwere having duties in judicial judgements and new stuructures were emerged related tomodernizaton applications.To bring out to which extend the economic policy of Ottoman state is reflected toAntalya, value of money which were in circulation, prices of various products were given.Finally, to bring up the social profile of city of Antalya, ethniccal-religious settlement andsituation of families are examined and it can be said that Antalya was a typical Ottoman-Anatolian city at ıts time.
