Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to research effects of eight-week plyometrics training on performance of anaerobic power, balance and sprint of women handball players between age of 12 and 14. In total 28 handball players between age of 12 and 14 were included for this study. Handball players were divided into two groups as control and experimental group. Eight-week plyometrics training program together with handball training was carried out three times a week for experimential group. On the other hand the control group continued their handball training regularly. Measurement of weight, linear, balance, anaerobic power, age, and 30-meter sprint test was done one week later and before training for these two group. Isokinetic balance test was done for measurement of balance. Wingate test was carried out for anaerobic power. Paired Sample T test and Independent Sample T test was used for analysis of data. Between pre and post test of groups, values of anaerobic power, balance, and sprint resulted in favor of experimental group. When compared pre and post test of experimential group, a meaningful value was determined in measurement of anaerobic power, balance and sprint. On the other hand, in the measurement of anaerobic power, and balance of control group, a meaningful value was not determined statistically between pre and post tests of this group. As concolusion, it could be said that there was positive effects of plyometrics training on performance of anaerobic power, balance and sprint.
