Abstract (EN)

Objective: The purpose of this study is contain over 18 years adult people who applicant quarterly for any reason to two clinics of family medicine departments of Faculty of Medicine of Akdeniz University, information level of adult vaccines, determination of ratio of adult vaccines and their attitudes and whether their request to have knowledge about adult vaccines and how to be carried out their wishes are. Methods: Our descriptive and cross-sectional design study is carried out by discussing face to face to demographic profile of the participants with 25 items questionnaire. The level of knowledge about adult vaccines, attitudes towards vaccination were evaluated. Provide data were analyzed by using SPSS 22.0. In comparison, Chi-square, Kruskal-Wallis test and Spearman correlation analysis were used. p < 0.05 was considered significant. Results: 445 people participated in our study. 62.7% of respondents 27-49 years age group and the majority (71.5%) were female, 45.8% had a university education, 35.7% of was health-worker, had a medium income level 62.1% and 86.1% were residing in the city center, 28.3% had a chronic disease. Most knowledgeable owned adulthood vaccines, influenza (65.4%), hepatitis B (56.0%) and tetanus (54.2%). However, the most applied adulthood vaccinations, tetanus (52.3%) , influenza (31.5%) and hepatitis B (30.3%). Adult vaccination was the lack of information on the front of the biggest obstacles to taking (34.4%). Age, income level, education level, have a chronic illness, there was a positive correlation between the seasonal influenza vaccine to vocational attitude (p <0.05). 65.2% of respondents would like to be reminded by her family physician about adult vaccines. Conclusions: Over 60 years of age shingles vaccine, 65 years and over and chronic disease in the pneumococcus vaccine and the 19-26 aged HPV vaccine is not at a sufficient level of vaccination rates. In pregnant women, pregnancy Tdap vaccination rates and hepatitis b vaccination rates in health-workers have found that the level close to the developed countries of the vaccination rates. Adults and health professionals of not having sufficient information about the vaccine, we found that the most important reason for the decrease in the rates of vaccination.
