In 18th century's French thought respect and stand of the Diderot

In my thesis, Medieval and New Age philosophies were examined before examining the thought of Denis Diderot, who was a playwright, art director and philosopher, who grew up in the 18th century French Enlightenment Philosophy. The reason is that the infrastructure of the development of Diderot is significantly dependent on previous periods.Depending on his knowledge, Diderot has placed his entire thought system on a social philosophical basis. He argued that people should form a whole and that they should live their freedom by considering the benefits of this whole called society. He delivered his Encyclopedia, which he edited and in which he wrote articles, to every segment of the society and succeeded in creating a social unity. While Diderot's, whose works especially encyclopedia are of particular importance because they reflect his thoughts, understanding of being is based on deism and materialism, his theory of knowledge is sensualist. Diderot, who built his understanding of morality and politics on the concept of virtue and happiness, shaped his art within the framework of morality. Unlike other thinkers, Denis Diderot has managed to deal with ideas in different fields in a unity. His thoughts may not be as epoch-making as Kant or Locke, but they have outgrown their time and have pioneered many philosophers dating back to the XX century. Our thesis aims to gather the important ideas of Denis Diderot, who has such a wide knowledge, and to explain how valuable and respected he was, despite the fact that he was not given much importance during his time.
