Abstract (EN)
The study is composed of three parts. In the introduction, the purpose, importance, subject and method of the thesis are mentioned. The journals that constitute the main source of the study are given briefly. In the first chapter, the political situations of Bukhara and Hive khanates in the West Turkestan region between 1900–1920 were explained. This period is the period when the khanate occupied the Russian occupation. Therefore, the struggle for independence of the region under occupation, revolts have been mentioned. The beginning of the First World War and the effects of the February 1917 Russian February and October revolution in Turkestan were emphasized. In the second part, the social life of khanates was emphasized and information was given about the communities living in the region. The daily lives of the people in the day are mentioned. In this period, when Russian pressure became more pronounced, the effect of Russian government on the social life of the people was emphasized. In this period, when the policy of Russification of the Muslim people was practiced, the people gave great importance to maintaining their national feelings. In addition, this section is presented in the economic situation. Markets, import and export goods, where the economy has the opportunity to develop, have been mentioned. Cotton and fruit cultivation and importation of agricultural products applied in this region are emphasized. In the third chapter, cultural and educational statuses of khanates are discussed. Cultural interactions and entertainment are mentioned. Information about marriages, circumcision and becca are given. School and medrese education are mentioned. The new system, which is applied in education, is focused on procedural-cedid movement. The new procedure has been mentioned not only in education, but also in other areas, such as newspapers and magazines.
