Reflections of Jadidism movement in Kazak newspaper published in 1913-1918

Ceditism, which started as a religious innovation movement in the Idil-Ural region, later started to show its influence in education and social areas. The Usul-ü Cedit movement, which started under the leadership of İsmail Gaspıralı, was adopted by the Ceditçi Kazakh intellectuals and tried to be disseminated among the Kazakhs. Over time, Jadidism has turned into a national reaction area of the Turkish peoples living under Russian exploitation. The Ceditism movement, which started with the education policies of İsmail Gaspıralı, had a significant impact on the development and spread of the Ceditism movement in the Turkish geography with its press activities. Ceditçi Kazakh intellectuals closely followed the Tercüman newspaper published by İsmail Gaspıralı and its press and publication activities and took it as an example. With the understanding of the effect of press-broadcasting activities on reaching wider masses, their use as a propaganda tool is a successive process. Kazakh Jadidists published the Kazakh newspaper, which they started to publish in 1913 for this purpose, until 1918, despite the Russian pressures of the period. The Kazakh newspaper, which mirrors the situation of the Kazakh people, has brought all kinds of issues concerning the society to the newspaper. They drew attention to the problems experienced in the society through the Kazakh newspaper and conveyed their ideas to the public through the newspaper at the point of finding solutions to the problems. In the first part of the study, which consists of three parts, the Cedit movement and its history, which left its mark on a period, were analyzed, and the activities of İsmail Gapiralı, who had a great influence on the development of this movement. In the second part, the spread of the Cedit movement in the Kazakh people and the activities of the Kazakh Jadidists were evaluated. In the third part, the development of the Kazakh press and publication activities and the work of the Kazakh newspaper were examined. The reflections of Jadidism on Kazakh newspaper were examined and evaluated in terms of religion, education, language, social and cultural aspects.
