The relations between economy and politics in Turkey and in the world from 1950 until today

In this study, an answer was searched to the question "Does the economy direct the politics or the politics direct the economy in the new order established after the Second World War?". Within this framework; samples both from Turkey and the world were examined and this question was tried to be responded. The developments after the 2008 global crisis in The United States of America, European Union, Germany and Greece. were handled within the scope of the new economic system in the world which was created just after the Second World War and as part of liberalism, neoliberalism, globalization. The cycles in Turkey after 1950, especially Democrat Party era which ensures Turkey's integration to the liberal system and single party regime eras(Justice Party, Motherland Party, Justice and Development Party) was studied. In this study, political and economic effects of liberal policies which were pursued in these eras were discussed. In conjunction with the liberal economy in Turkey, integration to the west, the changeover to the liberal system, steps to democratization and the problems that the given parties faced with were scrutinized. As part of this study, the question of "How did 'the state should be both the organizer and the controller" target opinion in the liberal model disappear after the occurred economic and political crises?" was clarified with the examples. In the study, based on studied different cycles and examples, it is deduced that politics and economy have directed and led each other according to time and conditions, it cannot be mentioned that there is no strict domination among them.
