Abstract (EN)
It has been seen that the existentialist philosophy that emerged with Kierkegaard found an activity field with industrialization in Turkey after the Western. By the translation of foreign works of art into Turkish in 1940s, existentialist philosophy was seen to be active in Turkey after 1950s and reflected in Turkish Painting Art. The human life, has relaxed by the development of the industrialist, has also been under the influence of mechanization. The emergence of concepts such as fear, loneliness, insomnia, pain, hopelessness, depression, pessimism has been considered as essential elements of existentialism philosophy on the individuals who get away from society with this interaction. Political, social, economic and social events that occurred after the 1950s have shown the effects of the existing philosophy on the individual. Artists such as Güven Zeyrek, Neşe Erdok, Neşet Günal, Mehmet Güleryüz, Burhan Uygur, Aydan Ayan, Orhan Peker and Komet (Gürkan Coşkun) have observed the ef7fects on the society and processed the basic features of existentialist philosophy in their works.
