Özet (EN)

The relations between cinema and politics have always been a reality since the very first feature film of Griffith's, The Birth of a Nation. This relation is a mutual one. That is, while politicians have always seen cinema as a tool of politics, filmrmakers have always interested in politics. The events of May 68' was a revolt that has influenced the world all over. Although it has faced some differences from country to country the pioneers of that revolt were university students in general. The events of May 68' in countries such as USA, Italy and France has although not changed the political regime of that countries, but was a serious menace to it. On the other hand capitalist regimes of that countries were faced harsh criticism and the universities became hierarchic and more democratic. While the salaries and wages of masses increased, the racist deeds of American politics decreesed and the path to peace in Vietnam has gained momentum. The film-makers of these countries were also influenced by the May 68' events. Since then the production of political films have reached to its peak point especially in Italy and France. On the other hand the films that have criticized the capitalist regime of USA became a daily reality since 1970.
