The research about Turkish-Cypriot stage plays which were written between 1970 and 2000 in terms of their thema

In this research, the progress of the theatre in Turkish-Cypriot Literature between 1970 and 2000 is studied. This papar is divided into two parts. In the first part, the establishing of Turkish-Cypriot Theatre is mentioned and the progress of Turkish-Cypriot Theatre from 1970 to 2000 is demonstrated. Moreover, it is given information about the history of Turkish-Cypriot State Theatres, the history of Nicosia Municipal Theatre and the competitions of writing stage plays which were between 1973 and 1984. In the second part, Turkish-Cypriot stage plays which were written between 1970 and 2000 are classified in terms of their topics and examined. These topics are; plays based on historical facts and national thoughts, plays about society, plays about domestic relations, plays about cultural diversity, plays about marriage problems, plays about interclass conflict, plays about social injustice and corruption, plays about stoppage of the labor, plays about criticism of the bed habits, plays about education and educational problems and plays based on mythology. In addition, it is given information about the plays which were performed between 1970 and 2000 whichout script.
