Legislation immunity in 1982 constitution act and it's implementation

Legislation Immunity entered our legal system on the date of 23 December 1876 with the acceptance of Kanun-i Esasi and has reached our day with small changes. Article 83 of the 1982 Constitution in force "legislative irresponsibility" and "legislative immunity" are regulated under the title of legislative immunity. Regulation of two different concepts under the same title is not in accordance with law making technique. Therefore we are convinced that legislative irresponsibility being regulated under a separate article would be more appropriate. Alongside the brought regulation, before or after an election a member of parliament who is accused of a crime can't be held, interrogated, arrested or trialed without a verdict from the parliament. A sentence's execution that has been given before or after the election is left to end of affiliation. However in the terms of said crimes, lawsuit and penalty timeout do not. Inside the same article, some exceptions were brought to legislative immunity, a red handed situation requiring Hefty sentence and provided that the investigation starting before the trial, in cases of Constitution's 14th article legislation immunity will not be implemented. A Constitutional exception was brought to legislative immunity with temporary 20th article added to Constitution. For years in Turkey, it is in demand for legislative immunity to be limited and it's extent to be reduced. Parliament member's names being mentioned with transgressive cases and progressing events have increased the criticism about this issue.
