1994-2016 Liberal Demokrat Parti, Türkiye

This study underscores the conditions of the liberal doctrine, and therefore the origins and theoretical infrastructure of the party's discourses are thoroughly explained. In addition, the development and transformation of liberalism from the Ottoman Empire to the Republic of Turkey is tackled in detail. Finally, the intellectual structure, ideology and characteristics of LDP are analyzed by use of miscellaneous variables. Furthermore, LDP's party programs, ideological perspective, election results, discourses of party leaders and Turkish citizens' perspective towards the party will be examined in detail. This research is framed around the following questions: What are the basic features, principles, policies, programs and targets of LDP? Which typology demonstrates resemblance to LDP? What is the organizational structure of LDP? And finally, does LDP reflect the features of Democratic Party organizations in modern societies?
