Matriarchal mythography as imaginative counter – discourse in 20th century drama

Drama, as a literary and performative genre, is the closest successor of the tragedies, one of the founding texts of literature, both in terms of subject and form. It directly expresses the conflict between culture and nature and the problematic of the humanity drifting in and out between them through dialogue. Throughout the development process, culture has developed many similarities with it in terms of feeding from nature; this has led to the emergence of the theory of Cultural Ecology which examines these similarities. The Theory of Cultural Ecology was produced by Hubert Zapf; it shows the similarities between nature and culture; it also identifies the deficiencies or excessive aspects of culture during its relationship with nature; it tries to offer a balance to these extremes. During the determination, a "Triadic Functional Model" method with subtitles such as Culture - Critical Metadiscourse, Imaginative Counter - Discourse and ReintegrativeInterdiscourse is used. The aim of this study is; especially in the twentieth century, and the results of the excesses in culture created by logoscentric patriarchal culture is examined by showing how the balance is tried to reach the balance through literature. Literature in the twentieth century, in this effort; resettled the matriarchal mythography against the culture of fathers who caused various kinds of catastrophe. Matriarchy, which expressed the period when patriarchy was inferior to the feminine principles and laid the theoretical foundations of his most important theorist Johann Jakob Bachofen, contributes to the equilibrium of culture in the twentieth century, when the apollonian unidirectionality of culture is weakened by the dichotomous aspect of culture.
