Abstract (EN)
The main objective of this study is analysing the positive and negative experiences and challenges of second and third generation Turkish–Germans citizens during the return migration process to Turkey by using semi-structured in-depth interviews with returnees. In the research, since the objective is to research the social events in the environment lived in and they develop, qualitative research method is preferred. The semi-structured interview technique was used as a data collection technique, as it was tried to determine the participants' thoughts, impressions, experiences and perceptions about the return migration process to Turkey. Descriptive analysis of the findings we received from interviews and discussion, positive and negative experiences these people has during the process and what they are, how their accumulated career can be evaluated, what can be done regarding adaptation in Turkey, what are the reasons to force these people to return Germany and what kind of preventive measures need to be taken; provided us with important information. In order to carry out more advanced and detailed studies on this subject, it was understood that statistical data should be prepared for qualified Turkish–German citizens who migrated to Turkey and those who are considering to migrate to Turkey.
