A study on the assesment of the 2005 6th grade Turkish mathematics curricula

The main purpose of this study is to asses the 6th grade new Turkish curricula according to the teachers and students perspectives executed in 2006-2007 education year. For this purpose, qualitative and quantitative research methods had been used in order to examine the findings.A questionnaire had been adapted to 560 students of 6th grade and also 14 teachers were asked to give their views on the new curricula in primary schools of Demirci in Manisa.The arithmetic mean of students? questionnaire evaluated as =3,94/5. Also teachers? opinions on the new curricula were examined in detail.
