A study on the effects of 2008 crisis in the construction sector (Case of study in Konya)

Literature part of this study consists of two parts. In the first part of the study are given information about the concepts of crisis and crisis management. In the second part of the study, the effects of which are felt to the present global economic crisis of 2008 was discussed. What is also considering this aspect of the construction industry affected in a short time in 2008 the impact on the construction sector of the global economic crisis from both acting as well as the development of the development of the national economy in this context were explained through a variety of economic indicators. In the third part of the study, a survey are given with 73 managers which works as a manager at construction company In Konya. The data obtained under study was reviewed. In addition, a survey of the majority of businesses operating in the construction industry in Konya in the results were found to have a global economic crisis and are affected by the management plan in 2008. In this study, business managers, especially for administrators who work in businesses operating in the construction sector can contribute managerial sense. From this point of giving more importance to the concept of crisis and crisis management, may contribute to obtaining an advantageous position to cope with the crisis.
