The place and branding of leather sector in Turkey in the 21st century

Abstract (EN)

The aim of the research is to present the 21st century's formation, progression of leather sector in the 20th century and the examination of the branding process of designs. At the same time there are leather centuries in the history of Turkey, as the sector is written numerically in order to develeop proposals for further reflection. To this end, the leather textile companies operating throughout Turkey contributed to the study, individuals and leather designers working in these firms. In the data collection, intra-sector interviews, information received from the Turkish Exporters ' Association and ITC statistics were used. In the leather industry have also studied the advantages and disadvantages of the skin area of Turkey with the increase, the impact on the design of the company and creating brand new methods were examined. For this purpose, the establishment and marketing process of "Naya Yana" leather design brand which was established in 2017 was examined.The effect of media and internet usage on product sales has increased in recent years. Accordingly, the emergence of new professions such as "bloggers" has brought a new perspective to marketing techniques. With each passing day the number of people who experienced the losing sector, to develop new systems in education in Turkey is one of the solutions will be geared to increasing demand.As a result of the study, it has been determined that new solutions should be introduced to the brand in leather sector in Turkey and that increasing the value and support given to the designers is important.
