Abstract (EN)
In light of the findings of various studies, there are many factors affecting social and emotional development of children in development processes; however, family is the foundation of socializing for child. The ties between father-mother and child start with the birth and develop throughout all development processes. The roles of the father in family and on the development of the child have the same significance with the roles of the mother. Therefore, variables such as burnout, the time spent with their child, the way they care for their children, their attitudes towards their children and fatherhood qualities are directly related to the development of the child and the life at home. For this reason, the effect of the father on the child's development was taken into consideration as much as the mother and this research is important in terms of revealing the father-child relationship and the factors affecting it. The purpose of this research is to investigate the question of "How are the burnout and liking of children levels and paternity qualities of fathers with children in the 3-6 age groups according to various variables?" and to reveal whether there is a predictive relationship among them. The participants consist of 270 fathers with children aged 3-6 years who continue their pre-school education. As data collection tools; demographic information form, Maslach Burnout Scale, Barnett Liking of Children Scale and Father Participation Scale were used in the study. Since the data had normal distribution, parametric tests; t-test, ANOVA test and Regression were used in the analysis of the data. The findings indicated that burnout levels decreased as the age of the fathers increased. When the number of children increased, it was revealed that emotional exhaustion of fathers increased and father participation levels decreased significantly. When the regression coefficients were examined, it was observed that the variables of personal success and liking of children were variables that positively affected fatherhood qualities.
