Abstract (EN)
Video forms that have emerged due to the development of technological devices have the potential to change the characteristic features of current filmmaking. For this reason, it is very important to determine how filmmaking will be with 360-degree video. 360 degree video is a new form of video where the audience can move the frame of the image with the help of a mouse or watch it with VR glasses. This kind of experience completes the active audience/user-oriented communication processes that the younger generations are familiar with and tend to through computer games, and nowadays it is presented to the audience/user mass, especially through video sharing sites. Undoubtedly, the only innovation of 360 video will not be in terms of qualitative change of a two-dimensional mirror to a passive/screen-focused audience. As can be seen from many featured 360-degree films, the scriptwriting and shooting and post-production processes of 360 films are different from normal filmmaking practice. For example, the question of what effects 360-degree video technologies will have in terms of filmmaking has gained a lot of urgency today, when artistic and industrial developments on the subject are very intense. In summary, in this study, the distinctive aspects of 360 cinema have been tried to be determined by using the conceptual analysis method. While doing this, the research is divided into stages: in the first stage, the classical descriptive elements of cinema were tried to be determined. In other words, scenario, shooting techniques and mise-en-scene, directing, acting, audience position and practices, montage etc. It has been tried to define established cinema through categories. In the second stage, what 360 degree video is and its historical emergence are explained. In the third stage, the researcher tried to determine how 360-degree filmmaking would be by performing many application shots in order to reach the findings on viable 360-degree filmmaking. The researcher transformed the situations he encountered in this process into research data with the method of autoethnography and conceptualized a 360-degree film with the conceptual analysis method. In addition, in this section, what 360-degree film is and the variables of 360-degree film and 360-degree filmmaking according to established film and filmmaking have been determined.
