Özet (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the effect of e-sports Valorant target game application on simple reaction time. For this purpose, control and experimental groups consisting of 8 people were formed, a total of 16 people participated in the study voluntarily. Visual and auditory reaction speed measurements were applied to the groups as a pre-test. The experimental group did aiming in the range game mode in the Valorant target game for one hour, 3 days a week. The control group only participated in the pre-test and post-test without doing anything. At the end of 4 weeks, it was aimed to measure the development of visual and auditory reaction speeds. The obtained data were analyzed in SPSS 22.0 program. Shapiro-Wilk test was performed for normality test. Paired Samples T test was used to evaluate the difference within the group, and Independent Samples T test was used for the analysis of the differences between the groups. When the obtained results were examined, the analyzes made in the experimental group showed a significant improvement in visual reaction times (p=0.0001). This situation reveals that physical activity and training have positive effects on visual attention and response times. It was observed that the visual reaction times of the experimental group, especially as the duration of playing the game increased, also shortened. However, comparisons made in terms of auditory reaction time showed that there was no significant difference between the two groups (p=0.081). As a result, it can be said that espor training program may affect on visual reaction time. Keywords: Valorant, espor, reaction
