Abstract (EN)

Şer'iye records which are known as court records plays an essential role in teaching of Ottoman history. Likewise, constituting main source for the fast developing recent epoch urban history and teaching of a place's socioeconomic structure, religious records appear before us as a resourceful records reflecting the political structure of the period. Dated Hijri 1103–1104 (ad. 1692–1693), 40 numbered Ayntâb religious records consist of 220 pages. In this study, pages between 110-220 of the religious records are transcripted and evaluated. ıt has been seen that the documents in the records are related to edict (Ferman), decree, tax collection, official assignments, hujjat and alimony, commerce, compromise of verdicts. In the light of these documents detailed information can be obtained regarding the political structure of the period and about the Ayntâb region between Hijri 1103–1104 (ad. 1692–1693). In this way information can be obtained about Ottoman State whom had encountered with big problems in the last quarter of the century in the domestic and the foreign policy.
