Abstract (EN)

Nowadays, employees of hospitality industry must be aware of the facts that rapid change of industry?s environment, train and refresh themselves, and also must take some precautionary steps for consistent progression. In hotel establishments, there are different types of training programs for the new comers and the staff who are promoted for another position.. The prior intention of this task is to orientate the employee about his/her job, department and colleagues. Because of continiouusly changing climate of the hospitality industry, employees have to update their knowledges via in-service training, even if they already have attended to tourism related programs. That?s why, Human Resources, Education and Quality departments are playing key role for training the employees. The main reason doing all these, is to create self-satisfied crew members , and to increase the quality of service in order to attain the pre-determined goals of the establishment.. Besides all of that, these departments should asssign the topics of the training and the staff to be trained. At the same time, they have to evaluate the outcomes of these efforts and check, whether they have attained their short run and long run goals.. The hotel establishment ought to benefit for training of its staff, find out if anything is missed or failed and should take some precautions at the right time. The main purpose of this thesis is, to measure the work satisfaction levels of the hotel keeping servers who have gotten internal service training. It is also about, how to analyze the organizational dependence, duty performances of the servers and their effects on the institutional activity factors. Another purpose is, to understand the change on job satisfaction, devotion and individual performance levels as per the demographic characteristics. Research consists of 4 different five star hotels situated in Beşiktaş. Field research covers the questionnaire held in 4 different 5 star hotels, and the results are edited through SPSS 17 package program. 252 questionnaire were gathered out of 275. As a result of this study, it is reached that the level of job satisfaction, devotion, duty performance and organizational effectiveness is high, among the hotel servers working in Besiktas, whose answered the questionnaire.Key words: Hotel enterprises, Internal Service Training, Job Satisfaction
