The analysis of the concepts of science curriculam in 6th, 7th, 8th grade teacher books, course books, work books and high school entrance exam

Course books are the primary materials used collectively by the teachers and students in our country despite the recent developments in our century. Course books are the indispensable materials which intend students to acquire curriculam attainments.The aim of this study is to analyse the level of the usage and appropriateness of key concepts of Science Curriculam in 6th, 7th, 8th grade Science Book Set ( Teacher?s Book, Course Book, Work Book) of 2012-2013 academic year and in High School Entrance Exam (SBS) between 2008 and 2012. The frequency of the usage of key concepts have been determined and the helical of these concepts across grade levels have been examined. Appropriateness of key concepts in Science Book Set and High School Entrance Exam (SBS) is able to give information about the unity of education and for supplying the deficiencies. In this study, descriptive survey research model was used and documentation were analysed. The frequency of the usage of units? key concepts in Science Book Set and High School Entrance Exam (SBS) has been found out and the data have been transformed into tables and interpreted according to frequency and percantages. Having analysed the units, it has been observed that some key concepts have been common concepts and the usage of these concepts has been helical. It has been observed that key concepts in some units of the curriculam are appropriate to Science Book Set and High School Entrance Exam (SBS) but this appropriateness has been observed less in some units.
