Determining the Frution Level of Student Objectives 6 th Class Science and Technology Program in ?Granular Structure and Properties of Matter? unit.In this study, it is aimed to determining the frution level of student objectives 6 th class Science and technology program in ?Granular Structure and Properties of Matter? unit.In the academic year 2009-2010 this study was applied to two 6 th grade classes of two elemantary schools in the city center of Gaziantep, two 6 th grade classes of two elemantary schools in Nizip district of Gaziantep and two 6 th grade classes of two elemantary village schools in Karkamış district of Gaziantep. 82 students fom the city center, 58 students from the district center and 53 students from village elemantary schools joined to this study. In short, from all six classes 193 students joined to this study.Primarily, 81 questions in accordance with Granular Structure and Properties of Matter unit were prepared by researcher and these questıons were applied to 7 th class students who had committed this unit last year. ?Matter points matrix? was prepared according to answers of questıons and ?matter difficulty index? and ?matter discrimination power index? of each matter were calculated by researcher. The total number of the test was decreased to 68 by eliminating 13 matters which have low difficulty index and discrimination power. An expert?s opinion was also taken while making eliminations,Later these 68 questions were applied to 6 th class students in the form of pre-test before having not processed the unit and in the form of post test after having processed the unit. Post test was applied after seven weeks from pre-test. Morever, the post test?s success difference from pre-test to investigate whether or not having significant difference according to students?gender, income status, their own rooms, education level of people that help to them in home, type of school and methods which were used processing unit by teachers, teachers? seniorities, faculties which teachers graduated; the t-test, one way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), independent sample t-test were used. In the comparions between groups, the Tukey test was used. Research findings were interpreted according to 0.05 significance level.Except first objective, the other objectives show significant difference in pre and post test. Morever, post test?s success difference from pre-test don?t show significant difference according to whether or not they have their own rooms, education level of people that help to them in home, but it is shown significant difference according to student?s gender, their families? income status, , school kind, teachers? seniority, faculties which teachers graduated and methods which were used processing unit by teachers.Key words: Objectives, 6 th Class Science And Technology Program, 6 th Class Granular Structure and Properties of Matter Unit.
