The analyses of the moral dilemma of the values form of the accessing level of students determined in 6th grade social studies programme (Erzincan example)

The changes that have occurred in science and technology had also made changes in societies lifestyle and culture. In order to adapt these changes without losing anything from themselves, they have started to care more about the `value` concept within their culture. And this fact made the `values education` to move into a foreground in our educational life. Values are the aim of your education, to educate individuals according to the values they have adopted. The most important thing s are the methods that are used to educate the students with the values, how much do the students gains these values and which level of values do they have inside them. For this reason, the level of the students reached with the moral dilemma forms of the values determined in the 6th grade social studies program were examined in the research. The base of the research was formed by 6th grade students of state-private-Imam hatip secondary school at the city center of Erzincan in 2015-2016 school year. 355 students take part in the sample. 7 values, taken as an example from Kohlberg`s work, is used for the research in the secondary school social studies programme. A rubric was prepared appropriate to Kolhberg`s moral developmental stages and levels. Moral dilemmas about value gaining are applied in the determined sample. The answers collected from the students are interpreted according to the tree levels and six stages in the moral development theory. Personal informations about students were obtained with the personal information survey applied to the students, which takes part in the moral dilemma studies. In order to make statistical analysis, SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) package programme has been used. The data analysis was made with SPSS 23 programme and it worked with %95 level of trust. For evaluating the personal information of the students, frequency and percentage calculations were used from the descriptive statistics. Ki kare test technique was used in the research. And the relation between the stages of moral development and demographic variables was again analyzed with Ki kare test technique. Charts are used in order to make the interpretation of the data's easier. In general, it has been a major point of research that the level of achievement of values according to school types changed according to school types in general, that there was a meaningful difference in moral development levels of students in terms of socio-economic level and in the result of sedi- mentary valuation process, there was no meaningful difference in moral development levels of students.
