Abstract (EN)

VI ABSTRACT Ottoman Empire is one of the important political state. Beside a great economical, military force and ruling on three continents, the most admirable subject is living of people from didcronl religions, Impinges unci nnlions. This subjcel is enlled Pax Ottoman (Ottoman Piece) by the western historians and it is still being studied to be understood. Justice is one of the pillar societies. The success of governing with justice is always permanent. The basis of Ottoman Empire is justice. Appointment of judge to a country as one of the first officers reflects the importance given to justice. The Lawcourt Records are important sources of the Ottomans' history on account of the vital knowledge they involve. One can learn about the social conditions of the society, its economical, military and judicial conditions when the records were I iikc-i i I'liilliciiiiuu-, I he. ıııımcs olllıe local laıulıımıks and placr:, can also In-, ; u < j 1 1 1 1 <. < 1 by means of these records. For example, one can easily locate the recorded districts, villages, towns and provinces that time. Our study, "the number 70lh Kütahya Lawcourt Records" reveals the customs and traditions, the names of places, the names and the ranks the people used, the social background and the relations of muslims with the non-muslim minorties. One can also reach the details of family law and heritage regulations by means of these records. The main aim of our study to get knowledge about Kütahya society we bel ive that this study will be helpfull to investigation about Ottoman society.
