Özet (EN)

Objective: It is aimed to evaluate the extraction results of the first permanent molars depending on clinical and radiographic factors and to provide physicians with preliminary information about controlled extraction. Materials and Methods: Our study was performed on 137 children (63 girls, 74 boys) between 8-12 age group and one or more first molars were extracted. In patients representing the 'early', 'ideal' and 'late' group, gender, age at which the tooth was extracted, time difference between the year of extraction and the year assessed, the relative jaw (upper / lower) with the teeth, the presence of the third molar tooth (+, -), the angulation of the lower second molar and the second premolar during the extraction, the amount of space closure and the relationship with the posterior crowding were examined. However, after the extraction, a clinical evaluation of the caries situation of the second molar, which replaced the first molar tooth, and the position of the second molar tooth, which replaced the extracted tooth, was performed clinically. Results: A statistically significant relationship was found between the teeth extracted in the 'early', 'ideal' and 'late' period according to the second molar furcation development stage and gender, the patient's tooth extraction age, and the space closure in the lower jaw (p <0.05). The caries status of second molar tooh, the cavity closure in the upper jaw, the time difference between the year of extraction and the year under evaluation were not statistically significant (p> 0.05). There is a statistically significant relationship between the jaw of the tooth extracted and the orientation, space closure and posterior crowding of the second molar tooth (p <0.05). Regardless of jaw separation, there is a statistically significant relationship between the presence of teeth number 8 and space closure before extraction (p <0.05). There was no statistically significant relationship between the presence of tooth number 8 before the extraction and the orientation status of the second molar tooth (p> 0.05). There is a statistically significant relationship between posterior crowding, the orientation of the second molar tooth and the space closure (p <0.05).
