Investigation of pictoral narration items in 8th grade Turkish course book

This dissertation lays emphasis on the necessity that pictures printed on Turkish course books taught in 8th grade in State Schools under the Turkish Ministry of Education should be designed according to the comprehension and learning skills of students. To this end, relevant analyses and recommendations have been made as to how pictures directed at children should look like. The research is composed of five parts. In the first part, problems and subproblems are reported, the aim of the research is emphasized and the meanings of the words are described. In the second part, the conception, quality and preparation process are came up. The relation between contents and method and addition to explanation are searched. In this part which involve the importance and function of schoolbook is about the problem of the schoolbook. Also this part involves Mnistry of Education's measure of value about the schoolbook. The second part in which takes place the childrens's visual education come to an end with cogitation process. In the third part, analysis of data is mentioned and also moddality occurs in this part.
