Abstract (EN)

The aim of this art work report is to document the process of creative change in art after 1980's and the shifting practices in the period. The report focuses on the time of change in Turkey's governance with its reflection on art in individualistic and collective creative terms. The selections from the art works of 80's avant-garde artists, moving away from traditional materials and the concept of artist without studios through these art works are in focus. The effects of this period on the following stage have been mainly on the next artists generation and the founding of initiatives. Artists, without detaching themselves from their studios, yet inserting the conveniences brought by the industry and technology as modes of seeing and processing, now find new and alternative ways in endless possibilities. Through these alternatives, the aim is to document the collective creations of the artists and how their creations are beyond traditional readings and/or material knowledge. This report investigates the creations of Pelesiyer – one of the initiatives that has been founded following the above mentioned changes – which we have founded. Keywords Initiative, Art Production, Biennial, Creative process, Artist's studio
