Abstract (EN)
TheRusso-Turkish War that break out in 1877 (also known as war of 93) which was result of Ottoman Empire's politics at Balkans and its out comes in social, economic, politic and cultural aspects as well as Russia's Balkan politics. At beginning of 19Th century due to revolts in Balkans region Ottoman Empire's borders started to change while new countries were in process of gaining their sovereignty. And this process brought a lot of problems with itself. With problem in government authority and the encouragement from European states Orthodox Slavs who lived with peace under the Ottoman rule for long years, started conflicts with Muslim Turks, creating pressure over them even killing them. This paper will examine the reasons, developments and outcomes of the problems which stared before The Russo-Turkish War and eventually led to war. The process which reached its peak with 1877-78 war was started with sovereignty of Greece in 1829. In 1876 Serbia and Montenegro declared war to Ottoman Empire which made problem to recognize by other nations. The revolts which caused war in Balkans also grab the attention of Russia, United Kingdom and Austria. These nations did not let to reach solutions, even provoked conflicts in Balkans in order to increase their soils, rule the trade roads and share the Ottoman soils. The peace treaties, nation's politics, side changes and secret meetings after 1877-78 war created complicated international relations while leaving the public without solution. This work examined the Ottoman Empire-Persian general relations between 1821-1878 and the effect of the matters on both countries. The works covers and explains on which areas the problems were intense and the problems which caused trouble for both countries such as border conflicts and denominations in the second half of 19Th century. The border conflict between Ottoman Empire and Persia was discussed and efforst to reach solutions and Kotur aggrement was explained.
