Özet (EN)

For centuries, Harran has been home to many famous scientists, from Sumerians to Sami tribes, from Parthians to Byzantines, from pagan cults to Celestial religions, from prophets. In the context of this cultural wealth and senkterik harmony, Harran contributed to the formation of the Islamic thought structure thanks to his geopolitical position, historical experience and scientific accumulation. The pagans of Harran who came to the fore as Sâbiîs during the Abbâsîd period started to be called Sâbiîs after the Caliph Mamun period; the eyes were turned from the Sâbiîs who found their expression in the Qur'an to the Sâbiîs of Harran. M. VIII. Great translation activity began in Baghdad of the Abbâsîds in YY; in these translation activities the Revenge of Hellenic science and philosophy, the formation and development of Islamic philosophy the Harran Sabians made important contributions. In this context, the history of Harran, the lives of Harran mutercim Sâbiî, the roles they played in revenge for the Greek philosophical and scientific accumulation, their contributions to the formation and development of the Islamic thought structure, their services in the field of Medicine, the position they assumed in Bethlehem constitute the main theme of our thesis.
