The first period of the Abbasids organization, the chamberlain and the chamberlains

The Abbasid period has an important place in the formation process of the history of Islamic institutions. In this period, Islamic culture and civilization institutions developed and took shape. The highest authority among state institutions was the vizierate, and after that, the chief of the effective and effective institutions was the chamberlain. Assassinations against the caliphs and statesmen in the past made the institution of chamberlain important. For this reason, the chamberlains became an indispensable element of the palace bureaucracy. Although their duties and authorities have changed from time to time, it has been tried to explain by giving examples that some people who performed chamberlain were effective in the state administration in the first period. By making use of the sources of Islamic History and the researches made on this subject, the function of the institution of chamberlain and the activities in the state administration through the life stories of some of the chamberlains that we think are effective are discussed with the main lines. In the first century of the Abbasids, Rebî' b. Yunus, Fazl b. Rebî' and Eşnâs et-Türkî also performed chamberlain. Again, in the first century of the Abbasids, the highest position that Turks could rise to was the chamberlain.
