Abstract (EN)

The ultimate aim of this study is to identify, evaluate, and compare the sufi concepts and the author's views on these concepts within the work Kashf al-hijāb wa- al-ran 'an vajh as'ilat al-jān by Abdulwahhab al-Sha'rāni (d. 1565), one of the renowned sufis of the 16 th-century Islamic world. Although this book is classified in the sources as a work on Islamic theology, it emerges as a significant text worthy of examination from the perspective of fundamental sufi concepts. This study provides an opportunity to analyze theological issues, which theologians addressed in the light of the Qur'an and Sunnah, through the lens of knowledge attained by sufis via their unique methodological approaches of inspiration and unveiling. Additionally, this research brings to light a previously unexplored work of Imam al-Sha'rani, making it accessible to scholars interested in the fields of theology and sufism.
