Purpose: Cerebrovascular accident is one of the most common reasons of applications to the emergency departments and it is a disease which may result in neurological deficits or mortality that may develop due to ischemic or haemorrhagic reasons. In this study, our purpose was to determine the relationship between CK-MB, troponin, folic acid, vitamin B12 and Homocysteine levels on morbidity and mortality in patients with ischemic stroke who applied to the emergency department. Material and method: 57 patients who were applied to the emergency department and who were diagnosed with ischemic stroke between November 2018 and August 2019 were included in this prospective and cross-sectional clinical study. Verbal and written consents were obtained from patients and / or their relatives who agreed to participate in the study. Routine blood biochemistry, hemogram levels, including socio-demographic and background information, clinical and vital findings, electrocardiogram, brain tomography, Creatine Kinase Myocardial Band (CK-MB), Troponin, Homocysteine, Folic Acid and Vitamin B12 of the patients were evaluated. Statistical analyses were done with SPSS version 17.0. Findings: A total of 57 patients, 30 of which were males (52.63 %) and 27 of which were females (47.37 %), were included in our study. The mean age of the patients was 67.07 ± 13.08. When the prognosis of 0-90 days was regarded, it was seen that 17 patients (29.82 %) did not have complaints anymore, 20 patients ( 35.09 % ) had fewer complaints, 9 patients (15.19 %) had the same complaints and 2 patients (3.51 %) had more complaints. Nine patients (15.79 %) became ex. 5 of these 9 patients exited on between 0th -30th days and 4 of them exited on between 30th - 90th days. It was seen that there was not a significant relationship between the patients who exited on between 0th - 30th days and the other patients when their CK-MB, Troponin, Homocysteine, Folic Acid and Vitamin B12 values were compared. It was also revealed that there was not a significant relationship between the patients who exited on between 30th - 90th days and the other patients when their CK-MB, Troponin, Homocysteine, Folic Acid and Vitamin B12 values were compared. In addition, it was observed that there was not a significant relationship between the patients who exited on between 0th - 30th days and the patients who survived when their CK-MB, Troponin, Homocysteine, Folic Acid and Vitamin B12 values were compared. CK-MB, Troponin, Homocysteine, Folic Acid and Vitamin B12 values were compared and no significant relationship was found according to the status of complaint. Result: Cerebrovascular diseases are among the diseases that may result in mortality and sequellae. In addition to early diagnosis and treatment, prognostic factors have been becoming important increasingly. In our study, we evaluated the folic acid, homocysteine, vitamin B12, CK-MB and troponin parameters of the patients in terms of prognosis and mortality and no significant results were obtained.
