Özet (EN)

: Increase in population and the rapid industrialization leads to an increase in consumption of the existing natural sources, and the problems such as nutrition,sheltering and environmental pollution . And this leads to an acceleration in; search for new natural sources that can be alternative to the adverse effect on structuring in the city centers and the city planning and also in the study for determination and containing of the possible damages.Within the context of these studies, the need for fast and accurate information on natural sources, environmental pollution and land increases. With technology advancing more and more everyday, diversity in the methodology of determining the natural sources and analyzing the alternation through the years, increases. Today, among the methods used for accesing the fastest and the most accurate information are ; Air Photographs, Remote Sensing and Geographical Information System (GIS).In this study, the effects of alternation in open-space area usage in time, on urban structuring and urban landscape will be determined and interpreted ,supported by the remote sensing method. The alternation in the urban architecture and urban landscape of Çanakkale will be observed and the changes that had taken place so far in the last 15 years and the ones that may take place in the future will be introduced. Suggestions will be developed regarding ;how to prevent the consistent and distorted structuring, sufficiency of open-space areas and how their allocation in city centers may be.Key Words: Open-Space Area, Remote Sensing, Geographical Information System, Çanakkale
