Metafiction in Adalet Agaoglu's novels

The postmodern novel, following the modern novel that deals with the problem of being, deals with the question of the existence of the novel. The writer who is bored with staying on the back plan, chooses to wrap the curtain between the readers. The metafiction which shows itself in the free environment of the postmodern novel, is a part of the fiction since the novel exists. The reflector writer who applied to the metafiction in his novels without being aware of the present purpose of the metafiction gives place to the postmodern writer who practices this method consciously. Adalet Ağaoğlu is an important figure in modern Turkish literature. We can observe that she clarifies the metafiction in her works that we can call "time novel", as comes to today. The writer successfully applies the technique of metafiction that she supports with the stream of consciousness and internal speech methods in her works. In this work, we tried to determine the technique of metafiction in the novels of Adalet Ağaoğlu by taking the tools and methods of contemporary literature.
