Abstract (EN)
Many cotton weaving runnings were constructed in different scales between 1860s and 1960s in Adana where the 25 % of Turkish cotton production is provided from. This period have started with simple weaving runnings and carried on with cotton weaving factories. In 1960s big cotton weaving factories have taken part in the industry sector. Those different scaled runnings have supported Çukurova?s economy and industry. But nowadays some of these factories were demolished and some of these are disused. With this study it is aimed to explain the concept of industrial heritage and ascertain the cotton weaving factories constructed between 1860s and 1960s in Adana.
