Abstract (EN)

In this study, in the district of Adana Karaisalı folk beliefs, festivals and ceremonies were investigated. In the first part of the study were given general information about the study area. In the second part of the study of the people of Karaisalı transition period (birth-marriage-death) involved in every step of daily life and folk beliefs were examined. This section includes the following topics, from the sources of the information obtained after administration of oral sources, information gathered in the town's former relations with Turkey tried to determine beliefs and evaluations were made after the title. In the third part, Karaisalı folk culture; candles, holy months, religious and national festivals, celebrations and ceremonies related to folk beliefs related topics are included. In the second part of the title after the written sources of information compiled from information gathered from oral sources, according to whether units are evaluated by faith practices and beliefs. In the fourth section of the study, a dictionary has been prepared including local words. At the end of the study Karaisalı folk beliefs of the Islamic faith in the pre-Islamic Turks color was seen covering up continues today.
