This investigation was planned and carried out, food consumers living in Adana, when purchasing and consuming health risks associated with the level of knowledge and attitudes examined food preferences factors involved and food safety-related behaviors aimed to determine. Data of the study, 385 food to consumers living in the city of Adana questionnaire to be administered by interview method was obtained. The statistical analysis of the data was performed using the SPSS 17.0 software package and Chi-Square test or Factor Analysis test conducted for comparison of categorical variables. The average age of consumers who participated in the study is 41.06 ± 0.524. Of these, 49.6% were male while 50.4% were female. 40.8% of consumers' reads the information on the label of food products and % 59.2 of them don't read. Buying the food sold in the open state 80.5% no, 19.5% answered yes by the consumers. 86% of consumers said that; themselves or a close family member did not have a case food poisoning. Research data and the statistical analysis, women and middle-aged participants, men and young people, according to the more cautious in buying food and have shown that they are more concerned about food safety. It also increases the level of education was made more conscious shopping has emerged. Just about every participant's quality assurance systems that have been identified lack of information.
