Abstract (EN)

The subject of this work is the study of directivity andindirectivity features of past tense markers in the dialects of Adana and Osmaniye. It's intended to present the directivity andindirectivityfeatures of past tense markers in the dialects of Adana and Osmaniye. The study consists of four parts: introduction, theoretical explanations and evaluation, review and conclusion. The introduction contains information such as subject, intention, extent, instruments, method. In the second part, the part of theoretical explanations and evaluations includes the researchers' views concerning terms such as the past tense markers, mode and modality, aspect, directivityindirectivityterms and their relations with their past tense markers. And thus a theoretical framework is established for this study. In the part review (examination), the usages of past tense markers in the study of Faruk Yıldırım named Adana ve Osmaniye İlleri Ağızları II are determined, classified and reviewed concerning the directivity andindirectivitycontext. The suffixes have been divided into three basic groups -direct, indirect and nonindirect features- and their use characteristics have been determined. In the part of conclusion and evaluation, the formal and semantic use characteristics of the past tense markers and their similar and departing aspects in the context of directivity andindirectivityhas been tried to be evaluated.
