Abstract (EN)

This study has been conducted through the foundation excavation and ground breeding of the AYAS Thermal Reactor construction at Adana-Yumurtalik region. Because of the lithological units, engineering properties and surrounding factors, excavation has been performed as machine excavation and drill-and-blast method. The process has taken with high intense to avoid Isken Thermal Reactor from vibrations.PPV (Peak Particle Velocity) and SD (Scaled Distance) values were applied to the controlled blasting. The equations derived from regression analysis comparing to similar lithological properties. They were supported by new seismic data belonging to Kizildere Formation and overall regression analysis of 1396 controlled blasting through 74 days gave new PPV relations.Keywords: Yumurtalık, AYAS, Kızıldere, PPV, SD, Regressions
