Abstract (EN)

Medicago sativa (alfalfa) is perennial, high in nutritional value and resistant to environmental conditions, plant is the most preferred feed crop for the leguminous family. In this study, it was aimed to determine the genetic diversity of some alfalfa ecotypes and their varieties by DNA, protein, nucleus and chromosome counts. In the study, the genetic distance between the populations of 5 different alfalfa species (Alsancak, Bilensoy, İside, Plato, Bilensoy82) and 3 different ecotypes (Erzurum, Muş and Konya) were investigated by simple sequence repeats (SSR) technique. Genetic diversity dendrogram was created Erzurum, Muş; Konya, Bilensoy82, Alsancak and Plato; The similarity between Iside and Bilensoy was found monomorphically in relation. Our model organism, M. truncutula, did not have a similarity relationship with other ecotypes and cultivars. Chromosome numbers were determined as diploid Muş ecotype, İside and Bilensoy cultivars, Bilensoy82 cultivar was triploid, Konya and Erzurum ecotype were determined as chromosome number 30, Plato and Alsancak cultivars were tetraploid. The total protein amount was highest in M. truuncutula, Konya and Alsancak in Plato, Bilensoy82 and Muş.
